Dr. Graham Hughes, a chemist by training, was co-founder in 1987 of Technomark Consulting Services Ltd. in the UK.
Graham is an acknowledged expert on pharmaceutical outsourcing, having intimate familiarity with all aspects of Contract Research Organizations, and served as the Scientific Investment Director of Technomark's first venture capital fund. He has also participated in corporate finance advisory, being involved in more than 20 merger and acquisition projects. In his industrial career he has worked for ICI (in UK and Belgium) and for Zoecon Corporation (Europe) - a Sandoz subsidiary - at which he was responsible for the technical development of animal health products and agrochemicals, from research through to registration.
Currently Graham, while being a board member of Technomark Life Sciences, is also the Chairman or a Director of several emerging European life science companies. Graham is a frequent chairman and speaker at international conferences on drug development and outsourcing. He is also co author of "Current Strategies and Future Prospects in Pharmaceutical Outsourcing", co-editor of "Outsourcing in Clinical Drug Development" and chair of the editorial board of "European Pharmaceutical Contractor".
